Stuck in a rut?
The definition of “stuck in a rut’ in English:
A habit or pattern of behaviour that has become dull and unproductive but is hard to change.
Going through the motions work for some people but most people are not happy in that space. Doing the same thing everyday at the same time does not lead to enjoyment for most of us.
So if you are feeling unhappy and unfulfilled then read further and I will give you some tips on making the move to get out of the rut you are in.
The best advice I can offer is to take time out to write down what you do everyday from the minute you wake up to the time you go to sleep.
Look at what you do not enjoy, what does not serve you and what you can stop doing or start doing.
Then write down how you would like to spend your day.
Eg. Coffee obviously first :, breakfast, meditation, shower, work, lunch with friend, work, gym, dinner & time with family/friends etc.
Don’t look for excuses for why you cannot change but rather look for reasons why you can!
Everybody deserves time for what they want and enjoy, so make sure you put time aside for that. If the week is too busy then set a date and time to do it on the weekend.
You can change and get out of your rut but you have to be ready and you have to make a plan to change. If you do not change it means you are not ready.
Never give up trying though. That is the most important.
Everyday is a new day for change, a new opportunity for growth!
If you struggle then put a date to by when it must happen.
