What’s holding you back from believing in yourself and your abilities?

Fortunately, and unfortunately, it is YOU! 

Yikesss!!!

Nobody likes to hear that, but the beauty is that you can change that.

Nobody but you are in control of the way you see yourself.

Self-Belief definition:

Trust in your own abilities.

I was at a stunning Summer Soiree at my friend’s house 3 years ago; everyone was having a great time chatting and laughing. I was feeling beautiful and confident. I had a gorgeous cocktail dress on and was loving the weather, just loving life in general.

This guy came up to me and said, “Have we met before?” and then he said 

“Oh yes, I remember you, you are the unintelligent one I met the last time.”

Do I even need to explain how that made me feel?

My confidence dropped, I was too afraid to talk to anyone else and I actually thought maybe he is right, maybe I am unintelligent.

I had a choice here. Believe what he said or belief in myself and all my capabilities.

So, I made a decision to keep my head up high and believe in me.

I used to put so much value in what others thought of me.

People come and go. 

Do their opinions of you really matter?

You are the one stuck with yourself on a daily basis, so it makes sense to at least like yourself and not continuously judge yourself.

If you are struggling with limiting self-belief patterns and they are holding you back from thriving in your work and personal life then hold on to your seats because I am going to give you some super cool tips that helped me take back my life and gain self-confidence in all areas from work to play.


Let’s Do This:

1. Daily Positive Self-Belief Affirmations are awesome and key. 

An example you could say every morning is: 

Choose to be confident and believe in yourself and your capabilities every single darn day. It’s a choice you make.

Don’t look for validation from others. 

People cannot bring you down if you don’t allow them to.

2. Make a list of all your awesome capabilities and great qualities.

Look at this list daily for at least 21 days so that it becomes your new thought pattern and it boosts your self-confidence. We are all unique so don’t try to be someone else.  

Be You. Do You. You are perfect just the way you are.

3. Dress up and show up. Invest in looking after yourself. It is not a luxury but a necessity. Book a pamper treat as often as possible, whether it is having your hair or nails done.

When you have put some effort into yourself you go into the world feeling great and your self-confidence soars. When you walk into a room or meet someone new and you are feeling good you will do it from a different space. 

You know those times when you just want to run out and get milk and you have not done your hair, put on some lipstick, brushed your teeth and you are still in your PJ’s and you see every Tom, Dick and Harry and normally your ex-boyfriend. LOL! 

OK so don’t do that, always up and at em looking and feeling on top of the world. 

4. Organise your life. Balance it out with work and play. 

Set goals before each new week starts and when I say set goals I mean in your business and your personal life. When you set goals and achieve them your happy endorphins and your self-confidence skyrockets especially when you achieve something you thought you were not capable of or were too scared to try. If you fail get up and try again. Nobody said life was going to be easy. Easy come, easy go. It’s never too late to design and live the life you have always dreamt about.

Get out of your own way and your comfort & fear zone. 

Nothing exciting happens there. Life is all about experiencing, learning and growing.

5. Mindset. Self-reflection time. Time to take note of your thoughts. 

Negative thoughts and your inner critic can play havoc on your confidence levels. Most of our self-limiting beliefs come from ourselves, not others. Start self-reflecting and noticing when these thoughts come up.

I highly recommend switching your negative thoughts to positive thoughts or your positive affirmation every time they pop into your head and tell your negative inner critic to bug off. 

Eventually, positivity will become your new norm and thought pattern.

If you do ever have a doubtful moment it will not last long as you will banish the negative thought immediately without even realizing. 

Boooom that’s when you know that you have arrived, and you know you are limitless in your awesomeness and your capabilities. 

It‘s Your Time. Time to put trust in yourself and your capabilities! Time for the new YOU!
